As a subconsultant to URS (Phase 4) and DMJM (Phase 5), Blair, Church & Flynn Consulting Engineers provided a variety of surveying and civil engineering design and support services for the new State Route 168 alignment through Clovis, California. The project included approximately two miles of the new four-lane freeway. Our project responsibilities included conducting conform surveys, preparation of utility plans, preparation of the preliminary and final drainage report, drainage system design; public agency coordination and securing the 401 and 404 permits for the project.
In addition, as a prime consultant to the City of Clovis, Blair, Church & Flynn Consulting Engineers provided a variety of survey and engineering services to support the municipal utility relocations required to clear approximately six miles of new freeway corridor for State Route 168 through the City of Clovis. Our responsibilities included analysis of utility relocation alternatives; topographic and property line surveys; preparation of construction documents for two sewer lift station, and approximately one mile of new sewer main and one and half miles of new water main; design of temporary and sewer and water main facilities as needed to support the construction of three bridge structures; construction surveys; and monitoring of construction progress.
