Blair, Church & Flynn was responsible for the inspection and evaluation of approximately 55 miles of concrete pipe sewers ranging from 12 inches to 27 inches in diameter.
The City of Fresno’s Department of Public Works and Public Utilities’ project involved structure inspections, pipeline video inspection, hydrogen sulfide gas surveys, wastewater chemical analyses, sulfide generation and corrosion modeling, and the preparation of a prioritized sewer rehabilitation capital program for approximately 32.9 miles of the evaluation sewers. The capital program provided for primary and secondary sewer rehabilitation projects having a total estimated construction cost of approximately $22,080,000. Technical specifications were prepared for recommended rehabilitation methods and products.
The project also included the preparation of construction plans and specifications for four separate sewer rehabilitation projects comprising Primary Rehabilitation Priorities 1 - 6, having a total length of approximately 7.3 miles.
