The state-of-the-art Little League field was a joint effort of the City of Fresno's Recreation and Parks Department, the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District, and the local Little League. The fields include electronic scoreboards, public address systems, home run fences and shaded spectator bleachers. The complex is arranged in a clover-leaf layout with a centralized two-story building housing concessions on the first floor and scorekeeping booths above. In one corner of the project the field house was planned with batting cages, meeting rooms, offices, toilets, and storage. Working with S.I.M. Architects to deliver a beautiful community baseball park, Blair, Church & Flynn focused on the irrigation system design of the Harry Goorabian baseball park. Our responsibilities included looped mains, layout controllers, zoning and filtration for athletic turf, as well as landscaping.
