Project Summary

The Clovis Unified School District and the State Community College District were developing two educational complexes located directly north of the City of Fresno’s newly completed Surface Water Treatment Facility. The construction of the two campuses was directly within the pipeline alignment for obtaining water from the Friant Kern Canal. The City of Fresno recognized future alignment obstacles presented by the two campuses, and with Blair, Church & Flynn’s assistance, diligently established an alignment and pipeline design. Approximately 5,500 lineal feet of 60-inch diameter concrete cylinder pipe was installed within the limits of the two campuses. The project was estimated to cost $1.8 million dollars and was completed within budget and without change orders.
